UK Staycations all the way

2021 is turning out to be the year of the staycation. Many Brits are opting out of the abroad idea and looking to spend their downtime in the charming British isles. Now the UK staycation is not one to turn our nose up at, we have some of the most beautiful views and calming retreats to experience, and not to mention cheaper than our abroad counterparts, so you can afford a little luxury if you opt for the UK. So if you're considering not boarding a plane for your holidays this year, here are a couple of ideas of destinations that might catch your eye and have you booking a break in no time.

If you’re looking to get away and not break the bank, North Wales is the perfect little getaway. Beaches, forests and a calm seaside vibes throughout. Perfect if you are looking for someone to have some time to breathe and relax from the business of life. There are many breathtaking walks to venture on to explore this lush country. With prices in Llandudno around £60 a night, it's a pretty good bargain for a beachside retreat.

If you want something a little more classical than a beach staycation, then look no further than the quaint city of Bath. Famous for its Roman baths and famous authors (and now the location where Bridgerton is filmed) You automatically feel at ease in Bath, from its historic architecture and flowing rivers, it oozes elegance. With many hotels offering rooms at £90-120 a night, it's a lovely little getaway if you're looking for quaint elegance for your staycation.

Now if you're looking to splash the cash with your staycation this year, why not have a spa-cation whilst you're at it, why not? Pamper yourself, you deserve it. The Lake District is the perfect destination for this. Full of boutique spa hotels offering different packages including massages, facials, and pools to sink into and relax whilst all in the surrounding tranquility of the Lake District. The Ladore Falls Hotel and Spa, have spa breaks with full access to their spa for around £200-£250 a night. This is a staycation for pure indulgence.
