"Every set-back is a setup for a greater comeback"

We sat down with Sarah Destiny to have a chat about all things resilience, she dropped many gems and shared a few personal stories about her journey and experiences over the past year. We know her as a youtuber, writer, content creator, all round creative and entrepreneur - we got to know her a bit more personally.

PWR:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

SD:

Bold. Loving. Ambitious.

PWR:

What does resilience mean to you and can you share an experience where you had to be resilient?

SD:

Being able to, in essence, bounce back from an L. To bounce back from a struggle, I think that shows resilience. That shows that no matter how much pressure you are being faced with forcefully, you are still able to force back. Like I’m not stopping. No matter how many times you’ve been pushed down, ‘I’m still getting back up’...

PWR:

What are you looking forward to when lockdown begins to ease?

SD:

I should ideally say people but I like being at home. But just social settings. Like many people, I see myself as quite extroverted and introverted as well but there’s so much joy when you re actually surrounded by people. Just good vibes, good energy and having that one-to one relationship with people. Being able to socialise with your friends in a comfortable setting...

No matter how far you feel like you’ve drifted, no matter how low you ever feel…everything and anything that you do in that season is going to determine the impact of your comeback when you do come back."
